Hello!!!! If you follow me on Insta and saw my story this weekend you know something very exciting happened with our house situation, don’t worry if you missed it, (I didn’t say what it was, just that something is moving forward). I don’t want to jinx it!! So. If you’re waiting for an update, its coming!! EEEEEEEE!!! (And if your not following me over there, you’re breaking my heart! Pop over and do it!!)
Last December Delta Faucets invited myself and a few of my favorites (Jen from i heart organizing and Sarah from Thrifty Decor Chick) to tour the 2017 HGTV Dream Home. Its moments like this where it all comes full circle and I just can’t believe that this is what I get to do for my job. I mean, I guess if you’re going to twist my arm….
I absolutely fell in love with Saint Simons Island and the house!! Apparently its sort of a problem, but do you lucky southern folk know how beautiful Spanish Moss is? This desert dweller is jealous. And the beach, don’t even get me started on the beach.
I love the almost all white exterior, its a little blown out in the pictures but the white metal roof is perfection.
Brian Patrick Flynn, the designer for Dream Home is hilarious and creative and brilliant. He always finds a way to bring some heavy personality into the space and throw things off a little (in the right way.) This painting was in the entryway and set the best tone. Pssst! The plants in the bowl are Stag Horn Ferns, one of the only plants that you can mount and hang on the wall! Tutorial here!)
The living room is right off the entryway and has these KILLER Pecky Cypress wood planked ceilings. Pecky Cypress is native to the area and has some really heavy texture and color variation. Its so good.
If you’ve been wondering if the flood of saturated greens in home decor is here to stay, let me introduce you to the kitchen and shout a resounding YES!
Everything from the backsplash, to the countertops, to the cabinet hardware is rocking’ this moody tone and I freaking love it!
While we’re in the kitchen, lets just chat about the Delta Trinsic Pro Touch 2.0 faucet. Is it not absolutely dream home worthy? (Stay tuned for info on how you can win your own!!)
The master bedroom was dark and moody, but had a wall of beautiful windows to balance it out.
Brian did a fantastic job. And I think there are still a few days left to enter to win it (if you can can I please come and stay with you!?)
Want to know how to win your own Trinsic Pro? All you have to do is pop over to Instagram to enter! We’re installing one at my MIL’s new house and I am so excited to show you how it looks!
