The Nucleus: Crash Course Chemistry #1

Hank does his best to convince us that chemistry is not torture, but is instead the amazing and beautiful science of stuff. Chemistry can tell us how three tiny particles – the proton, neutron and electron – come together in trillions of combinations to form … everything. In this inaugural episode of Crash Course Chemistry, we start out with one of the biggest ideas in chemistry ever – stuff is made from atoms. More specifically, we learn about the properties of the nucleus and why they are important to defining what an atom actually is.

  1. Man you guys are great at explaining thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. lol, my chemistry class doesn't even have a teacher(she's on maternity leave and the school can't find a replacement) so I'm just watching these videos so I don't fail the regents

  3. I love these videos <3 because of them I've been an excellent student in Biology (Crash Course Biology + Anatomy and Physiology), Human Relations (Crash Course Psychology), and now, Chemistry! I can have intelligent conversations with my teachers, answer more complex/challenging questions, and share knowledge with others 🙂
