Fans are praising Harry Styles as a bisexual icon after hearing the lyrics to his new song, “Medicine.”
Harry is only on the third night of his solo arena tour and he’s already leaving fans SHOOK.

The topic of Harry Styles‘ sexual orientation has been something heavily discussed ever since he said being female is QUOTE “not that important” when it comes to qualities of a significant other. The 24-year-old has never specifically said what he identifies as and confirmed that he feels no need to define his sexuality.

He said in an interview with The Sun last year QUOTE: “No, I’ve never felt the need to really [label my sexuality]. No. I don’t feel like it’s something I’ve ever felt like I have to explain about myself.”

While Harry still hasn’t specifically addressed what his sexuality is, fans are calling him a bisexual icon after hearing his new song, “Medicine,” which talks about messing around with girls AND boys.

In case you didn’t catch that, the lyrics are as followed: “The boys and the girls are here I mess around a bit and I’m okay with it. I’m coming down I figured out I kinda like it.”

Fans are freaking the heck out that the One Direction guy is seemingly bringing visibility to bi slash pansexuality, but also stress that just because he wrote a song about both genders does NOT mean it’s okay for people to label his sexuality.

One person tweeted “okay….it may be a bisexual anthem….but we aint labeling mr. harry styles in this house !”

Another said QUOTE “harry styles is out there writing bisexual anthems and wearing soft, feminine clothes and breaking gender roles i am proud to be his fan.”

Someone else wrote QUOTE “First Harry writes woman, the original bisexual, THEN he holds up a BISEXUAL FLAG during WOMAN after I tweeted asking if he could do that, and now on this tour, that I’m attending, he gives us MEDICINE, an apparent BISEXUAL SONG. No offense but Harry loves bisexuals.”

Harry is known for being incredibly outspoken about major issues like LGBTQ+ equality, Black Lives Matter and women’s rights whenever he gets the chance. Maybe one day he’ll tell fans what he specifically identifies as, or maybe he won’t — and that’s totally fine. Do you see “Medicine” as a bisexual anthem?
